Not every dramatic moment made it into seasons 1 and 2 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives — but now fans are getting a glimpse into a handful that ended up on the cutting room floor.

During the Hulu special, which started streaming on Tuesday, July 1, host Nick Viall didn’t just grill Jen Affleck, Whitney Leavitt, Mikayla Matthews, Mayci Neeley, Jessi Ngatikaura, Taylor Frankie Paul, Layla Taylor and Miranda McWhorter about the events from the first two seasons of the show.

There were also several never-before-seen clips that were shared with the audience as a way to entertain — and stir the pot. The reunion even included moments with DadTok a.k.a Connor Leavittt, Zac Affleck, Jordan Ngatikaura, Dakota Mortensen, Jace Terry and Jacob Neely.

The only person missing was Demi Engemann, whose absence was addressed and footage of her answering burning questions with Nick at his podcast studio played throughout the reunion to offer context to certain claims.

Among some of the deleted scenes were more tense moments between Whitney and Mikayla, an enema that most of Us wish we didn’t have to see and even a glimpse at how DadTok creates their own content.

Keep scrolling for a guide to every single never-before-seen clip that aired during The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives reunion:

The Start of Whitney and Mikayla’s Feud

Both Whitney and Mikayla hinted that their issues didn’t start during season 2. According to Mikayla, she was already upset at Whitney while filming the first season of the hit show, which viewers didn’t get to see until now. In a brief clip, Whitney told Mayci and Mikayla about a setback in her and Conner’s marriage after she found porn on his phone following his sex addiction.

“I lost my absolute s***. I think I felt more lonely after finding this out than I did when I first found out. Like, I even felt lonely from you guys,” Whitney said. “There was no follow-up. There was no, ‘How are you doing?’”

Mayci and Mikayla disagreed and even slammed Whitney for “invalidating anything” they have done for her.

“Whitney likes a lot of attention,” Mikayla told the cameras. “She does things very out on a whim and spontaneously when she’s feeling out of control.”

Mikayla’s Coffee Enemas

In a fun clip, Mayci and Mikayla pondered whether coffee enemas went against the Mormon church. Mikayla spread the wealth by setting Jessi and Demi up as well before showing her “haul” from her own enema.

DadTok Leaning Into the Rumors

Conner and his wife, Whitney, previously poked fun at the “lavender marriage” jokes after The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives premiered in September 2024. During a new clip, the dads of the group were planning a video when Jordan suggested they “pull” Conner “out of the closet” to lean into the humor.

“Are you wanting to do this though?” Dakota asked Conner while Brett encouraged him to “lean into it. Conner, for his part, had no issue mocking the speculation about his sexuality with a TikTok video — as many of Us already know.

Conner’s Revelation

A deleted scene showed a conversation between Whitney and Conner about their move to Hawaii before season 1.

“I kind of missed that because I feel like we ran away from something,” Whitney told Conner, who said he didn’t “want to lie” anymore about what caused issues in their marriage.

Producers asked Conner if he felt “comfortable” speaking out about his past, to which he replied, “I had a really big problem with pornography. On top of that, I had a presence on a dating website — not because I didn’t love my wife — but because I felt like I needed validation. I needed to get help. So we started going to therapy and trying to figure out why — and I knew why.”

Conner revealed that he only shared this information “with Whitney, my therapist and my family” before addressing it on screen.

“When I was a little boy, I was raped. When I was finally honest with that emotion and that memory, everything made sense,” he said in the emotional joint interview with Whitney. “The validation I needed … I hate that I did that to you. But I’m so proud that I was able to be honest with you and start working through some really, really hard stuff.”

Conner explained why he felt like addressing his trauma turns him “into a victim,” even though he blamed himself for how his subsequent actions hurt Whitney.

“These were actions I took. I had a real problem,” he noted. “It led to something that really hurt my wife. I’m so sorry.”

Layla Addresses Concerns About Her Weight and Mental Health Struggles

“I’ve been skinny my whole life though. I feel like everyone’s concerned right now, but I’ve been skinny my whole entire life,” Layla told Demi while discussing how she still has issues with body dysmorphia. “It’s like when you guys tell me, ‘Oh, you used to look like a healthy weight.’ When you have an eating disorder, the word ‘healthy’ triggers me.”

Layla said being told she looks “tiny” encourages her eating disorder, adding, “For some reason, in my twisted brain, I think I am going down the right track. That gives me an endorphin rush.
Also just living in Utah, the need to chase perfection — when it’s not attainable — is such a bad thing here.”

Elsewhere in the clip, Layla showed her scars on her wrists from past self-harm attempts.

“They’re kind of visible, but they’re not too bad. I feel like I’m more insecure about those, and it’s just an image thing here,” she continued. “Because someone looks at them and they don’t recognize what I’ve struggled with.
They look at me and they judge.”

Embracing Plastic Surgery — and Sex

Footage from the first two seasons showed Mikayla getting Botox despite concerns about whether it was allowed by the Mormon church. There were also clips of Jen and Demi at their ketamine appointments.

During another outing, the group went into a sex shop to see what there was to explore — including a $1,000 sex doll.
