Cleveland Browns linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah won’t play for the second straight season after being placed on the reserve/physically unable to perform list ahead of the 2026 season.
“The Cleveland Browns placed LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah (neck) on reserve/physically unable to perform. In addition, the club designated P Nik Constantinou (pronounced con-stan-TEE-new) as the team’s international player,” the team announced on Friday morning.
The former Notre Dame star suffered a neck injury on Oct., 27, 2024 while trying to tackle Baltimore Ravens star running back Derrick Henry. He was initially placed on injured reserve and missed the final nine games of the 2024 season.

The Browns then placed the linebacker on the reserve/physically unable to perform list before the 2025 season. Following the news, Owusu-Koramoah issued a statement regarding his football future.
“While I won’t suit up this season, I’m focused on what I can control — my healing, my mindset, and my faith,” Owusu-Koramoah said in a statement. “The body may rest, but the calling never sleeps. I’ve given my heart to this game. I don’t know what’s next, but I’ll continue trusting my medical team, serving the community, and backing my brothers on the field.”
The incident came after the former second-round pick was named to his first Pro Bowl after recording a career-high 101 tackles in the 2023 season.
He went on to sign a three-year extension worth up to $39 million before playing just eight games in 2024.
