Air travel chaos took a hilarious turn when an apparently fed-up Delta passenger strolled behind an empty gate counter, grabbed the intercom, and began repeatedly paging staff himself in a now-viral airport spectacle.
“Delta, Delta, Delta,” the man calmly announced over the loudspeaker while tapping the microphone like a seasoned gate agent, then asked, “Is anybody working? Please come to Gate 30B.”
The outrageous TikTok video captures the passenger looking more entertained than irritated as he commandeers the intercom again and again.
At one point, the man continued his mock customer service takeover by coolly requesting assistance in a robotic voice: “Delta, Delta, please come to 30B, you have a customer waiting.”
Onlookers appeared entertained by the bizarre show, as the mystery man’s deadpan delivery and relentless “Delta, Delta, Delta” announcements quickly turned the scene into social media gold.
His last attempt is a plea for help: “Anybody on shift? Delta, Delta, please help. 30B.”
The whereabouts of the elusive staff remain unknown, but the unforgettable antics struck a chord with viewers across the internet.
Taking to the comments, one TikTok user joked: “The airline industry is collapsing in front of our eyes.”
“Open mic night at the airport,” another wrote.
A third chimed in, “Why does stuff like this never happen when I’m sitting at the airport for hours?!”
Meanwhile, last month, an entitled traveler was asked by flight attendants to end her phone call after boarding a Delta Air Lines flight from Miami International Airport to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
But Shannon Marie Harris, 46, refused and became “belligerent” just before takeoff, leading the pilots to turn the plane back to the gate, where everyone on board was asked to deboard after she refused to leave as requested.
Harris and another passenger, who was not identified, were ultimately taken into custody.
