Charlie Kirk warned against going to war with Iran before he was assassinated, former director of the National Counterterrorism Center Joe Kent has said.
Speaking in the latest episode of The Tucker Carlson Show, Kent said that Kirk “advocated heavily against a war with Iran.”
“The last time I saw Charlie Kirk on this earth was in June in the West Wing in the stairway,” he said. “And I said hi to him and he said very loudly: ‘Joe stop us from getting into a war with Iran.'”
Kent resigned from his role in Trump’s administration this week, saying that he “cannot in good conscience” support the ongoing war with Iran.
