The Kansas City Chiefs are set for a highly-anticipated Week 4 matchup against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday.
The team may be less than full-strength heading into the contest with cornerback Kristian Fulton and defensive end Ashton Gillotte ending the week on the Chiefs’ injury report with questionable designations while defensive end Mike Danna is listed as doubtful with a quad injury.
These were the only Kansas City players listed with injury designations heading into Week 4 — until Saturday evening.
Just one day before the Chiefs’ matchup against the Ravens, the team added superstar pass-rusher Chris Jones to the injury report with a “non-injury related – personal” designation.
“We are adding DT Chris Jones to the injury report (non-injury related – personal). He has no game status designation,” the Chiefs wrote in an announcement on X.
The Chiefs provided no further information regarding the reason for Jones’ sudden addition to the injury report. However, the fact that he doesn’t have a game status designation is a good sign he’ll still suit up for Sunday’s Week 4 contest.
Jones signed a five-year, $158.75 million contract extension with the Chiefs after their Super Bowl LVIII win in 2024. The three-time All-Pro defensive tackle has five tackles, three QB hits and 1.0 sacks through the first three games of the 2025 season.
Kansas City is off to a 1-2 start, suffering losses to the Los Angeles Chargers and Philadelphia Eagles. The Chiefs notched their first victory of the year this past Sunday, taking down the New York Giants 22-9.
The Ravens are also looking to avoid a 1-3 start in Sunday’s matchup against the Chiefs. Defensive lineman Nnamdi Madubuike, full back Patrick Ricard and DL Broderick Washington have been ruled out. Defensive lineman Travis Jones, tight end Isaiah Likely, offensive tackle Ronnie Stanley and outside linebacker Kyle Van Noy are questionable.
Sunday’s game will kickoff at 4:25 p.m. ET.
