This dessert is the pick of the patch.
Costco’s beloved Kirkland Signature Pumpkin Pie is officially back on shelves for autumn — and the colossal confection is taking up plenty of in-store real estate.
The fan-favorite dessert weighs a whopping 58 ounces — that’s 3 pounds and 10 ounces of pie.
Made fresh in Costco’s own bakery, shoppers can get their hands on the jumbo fall-spiced sweet treat for just $5.99.
Like Costco’s $1.50 soda-and-hot dog combo, the price of the Signature Pumpkin Pie has stayed the same for years.
With pumpkin spice season starting earlier and earlier every year, it’s no surprise that fans have eagerly anticipated the impressive pastry’s return.
“Already got one and brought my neighbor, [who is] 104, a slice too! She was excited,” one person shared.
“Someone tell me how they can sell this for only $5.99? It is the best deal!!!” another exclaimed.
“I’m trying to watch my weight. Fiiiine…I’ll get one tomorrow!” someone joked.
“I love how the price stays amazing as their pie,” a user noted.
“Such a good deal for only $5.99!” one said
Not everyone was psyched about the pie’s imposing proportion, as some said they wished there were a smaller version since the 58-ounce pie is a lot for one person.
“It’s hard to buy this big when living alone,” someone pointed out.
“Slices in the food court would be amazing,” one suggested.
Meanwhile, savvy shoppers have suggested wrapping the pumpkin pie in plastic wrap and freezing, then defrosting it in the fridge for 24 hours for later consumption.
