The Dallas Cowboys have the league’s worst offense, and things would be far worse if the secondary did not have Trevon Diggs and DaRon Bland available. However, the team received huge availability news on both.

Diggs has been dealing with a knee injury that kept him limited through practice all week. Bland has also been dealing with a shoulder injury that also kept him limited.

Both Diggs and Bland were listed as questionable heading into Week 6 against the Carolina Panthers. Now, both the star cornerbacks are expected to play.

According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, both Diggs and Bland are expected to play. This is huge news for a Cowboys defense that has struggled to stop opponents from passing all over them.

Dallas is currently 2-2-1, and the defense is giving up an NFL-worst 412.0 yards per game. In terms of passing yards, the Cowboys are also giving up a league-worst 284.6 passing yards per game to opponents.

Having Diggs and Bland available should help the Cowboys attempt to stop Bryce Young and Tetairoa McMillan. The Panthers also have former Dallas running back Rico Dowdle, who ran over 200 yards against the Miami Dolphins.

Dallas has a good chance of beating the Panthers, but only if the defense starts to come together. Giving up over 400 yards of offense will keep things difficult. The good news is Dak Prescott is having an MVP-caliber season, and the offense is keeping the Cowboys in games.

Prescott has 1,356 passing yards and 10 touchdowns through five games. With a strong offense and a lacking defense, the Cowboys need all elements to come together to keep them alive in the stacked NFC.
