The Los Angeles Dodgers announced a massive roster move prior to Game 4 of the National League Division Series against the Philadelphia Phillies on Thursday.

Veteran closer Tanner Scott, who had not pitched in the first three games of the series, was replaced by left-hander Justin Wrobleski. Scott is ineligible to pitch for the remainder of this series and the NL Championship Series.

Scott, who signed a four-year, $72 million contract with the Dodgers last winter, had an incision procedure Wednesday night, manager Dave Roberts told reporters in Los Angeles.

“It was an abscess incision, some kind of lower body minor procedure,” Roberts said. “I don’t know a lot about it but I know he’s recovering well and it took place last night.”
