The Miami Dolphins suffered a major blow to their offense, as superstar wide receiver Tyreek Hill suffered a horrific knee injury that will keep him out for the remainder of the 2025 season and beyond. With the team finally notching a win, they needed to find another wide receiver to replace Hill, and the Dolphins have already done that.

Former Dallas Cowboys and Dolphins wide receiver Cedrick Wilson Jr. is expected to return to Miami, as the team is signing him off the New Orleans Saints practice squad.
NFL insider Tom Pelissero reported the news on X, stating:
“Reunion: The #Dolphins are expected to sign veteran WR Cedrick Wilson Jr. off the #Saints practice squad, per sources. Wilson played two seasons with Miami (2022-23). Now, after Tyreek Hill’s season-ending knee injury, Wilson is headed back to Miami.”

Wilson played with the Saints most recently in the 2024 season, appearing in 15 games and starting in four. In that time, he secured 211 yards and one touchdown.
The Dolphins also have plenty of familiarity with Wilson, who spent the 2023 and 2024 seasons in Miami. During those two seasons, he picked up 432 yards and one touchdown.
The Dolphins needed some depth, and they got it with Wilson heading back to South Beach.
Despite the major injury to Hill, the Dolphins were able to notch their first win of the season against the Jets. Surprisingly, Darren Waller impressed greatly in his first game back in the NFL, picking up two touchdowns on three receptions for 27 yards.
Tua Tagovailoa linked up with Jaylen Waddle as well, getting him three receptions for 48 yards. De’Von Achane also secured 99 yards on the ground and one touchdown.
Overall, it was a huge offensive performance from this Dolphins team, which needs to continue in Week 5. Hill leaves a giant wake due to his season-ending injury, but Wilson has arrived to provide some depth for this pass-catching unit.
