During the first quarter of Game 3, San Antonio Spurs center Victor Wembanyama shoved New York Knicks point guard Jalen Brunson in the back of the head as they battled for position on the Madison Square Garden court.

Brunson popped right back up and continued to play. No foul was called at the time, and the NBA elected not to issue a retroactive flagrant foul following a league review on Tuesday.

During an appearance on “The Kevin O’Connor Show,” Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green criticized the Knicks for not coming to Brunson’s defense. The NBA veteran said if Wembanyama did that to Stephen Curry, he would have responded with something severe enough to get thrown out of the game.

“[Wembanyama] pushed [Brunson] down, and none of the guys on the Knicks team did anything. Don’t for one second think that didn’t matter,” Green said.

“I’m probably going to get thrown out,” Green added. “And it may cost us Game 3, but Game 4 … You’re not pushing Steph Curry by the back of the head down to the ground.”
