Brentford has won just once in five Premier League outings so far this season, but hopes to double that tally at home to Manchester United on Saturday. More than a month has passed since the Bees clinched that solitary win over Aston Villa, but the buzz has since worn off following a run of four games without a victory in all competitions.
The campaign hasn’t been the success United would have hoped for so far this season, either, with the club currently sitting 11th in England’s top flight. That being said, last weekend’s 2-1 win over Chelsea could be the turning point manager Ruben Amorim has been waiting for.
Both teams finished with 10 men at Old Trafford after Casemiro saw red in a dramatic first half that saw Chelsea keeper Robert Sanchez dismissed in the fifth minute. United’s midfield enforcer will be suspended for the trip to west London as a result, though Diogo Dalot is inching closer to a return from injury.
Meanwhile, the pressure is mounting on Brentford boss Keith Andrews following a 3-1 loss at Fulham. The Irishman is hoping to have Edmond-Paris Maghoma and Gustavo Nunes back following hamstring and thigh injuries, respectively.
