Jessica Simpson has moved on after her split from husband Eric Johnson.

Us Weekly can confirm that Simpson, 45, is dating Nashville-based musician Thomas Eisenhood. TMZ, who was first to report the news on Thursday, April 2, claimed that Simpson and Eisenhood have been together for several months and met through mutual friends.

Eisenhood was a member of the Stoop Kids music group from 2012 to 2023. Along with his role as a singer, Eisenhood is also an IT tech for music festivals and sound engineer at The Basement music venue in Nashville.

Us Weekly has reached out to Simpson’s team for comment.

Simpson’s new romance comes more than one year after the singer announced in January 2025 that she and Johnson, 46, were separating after 10 years of marriage.

“Eric and I have been living separately navigating a painful situation in our marriage,” Simpson told Us Weekly in a January 2025 statement. “Our children come first, and we are focusing on what is best for them. We are grateful for all of the love and support that has been coming our way, and appreciate privacy right now as we work through this as a family.”

The former couple share daughters Maxwell Drew, 13, and Birdie Mae, 7, and son Ace Knute, 12.

Simpson focused on making a musical comeback in the wake of her split, hinting at fractures in her marriage on the two-song EP Nashville Canyon, released in March 2025.

A source told Us Weekly exclusively in September 2025 that Simpson and Johnson were on good terms after their separation.

“They are getting along well, and everyone seems to be very happy,” the insider explained at the time. “They talk and see each other all the time and have decided that no matter what happens, they will get along for the kids.”

A separate insider shared a similar sentiment months later but clarified that Simpson and Johnson had no plans to reconcile their romantic relationship.

“They’re not considering getting back together, but they have love and respect for each other,” the second insider said in December 2025.

Simpson and Johnson “are in no rush to file for divorce,” the source continued, explaining that the pair are “focusing on their kids right now and will always put them first.”

Simpson has spoken candidly about what she’s looking for in a new partner, telling Extra in October 2025 that she is “into younger men at the moment.”

The singer said she was “having fun,” adding, “When you’re newly separated … I feel like younger guys kinda like the confidence of an older woman, I’m discovering.”
