Far-right activist Laura Loomer has denied working against Vice President JD Vance, saying that she has the “receipts” to prove it.

Loomer said she had been contacted by The New York Times to respond to an interview by former Fox News host Tucker Carlson, who allegedly accused her of “working against” Vance in becoming “the VP nominee in 2024 among other false accusations.” Newsweek has not verified whether the interview took place.

“He is now resorting to planting lies about me in the New York Times by invoking the name of the Vice President,” Loomer wrote on X.

“Awkward for Tucker since even the VP would say Tucker’s claim about me is a lie. I literally flew with POTUS to the RNC Convention the day after he was shot and was nothing but supportive in the 3 days after when he nominated JD Vance as his VP nominee.”

She added: “The VP knows my side of the story is the truth. I have receipts to prove it if Tucker wants to play this game with me.”

Loomer has clashed repeatedly with Carlson in recent months, particularly following his criticisms of President Donald Trump.

Newsweek contacted Loomer, The New York Times and Carlson for comment by email outside of normal business hours.

This is a developing story. More to follow.
