Mary-Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen are famous for, among other things, being twins — but the pair also share four additional siblings.
Mary-Kate and Ashley are the daughters of Jarnette and Dave Olsen. Before welcoming the twins in 1986, the pair were already parents to son Trent, who was born in 1984. In 1989, Jarnette and Dave completed their family with daughter Elizabeth Olsen.
Jarnette and Dave divorced in the mid ‘90s. Dave later moved on with current wife McKenzie Olsen. The couple welcomed daughter Courtney Taylor and son Jake in 1997 and 1998, respectively.
As time has passed, Ashley has gone on to form her own family with husband Louis Eisner. The couple share a son, Otto, whom they welcomed in 2023.

Jarnette Olsen
Jarnette is Mary-Kate and Ashley’s mother. She was a ballet dancer before managing the twins’ careers alongside then-husband Dave. Jarnette and Dave ultimately divorced in 1996.
Much like her twin daughters, Jarnette lives her life out of the spotlight.
Dave Olsen
Dave is Mary-Kate and Ashley’s father. Alongside Jarnette, the pair managed their daughter’s rising entertainment careers. Dave also dabbled in real estate.
Following his divorce from Jarnette, Dave moved on with current wife McKenzie.
Trent Olsen
Trent is the eldest son in the Olsen family. As Mary-Kate and Ashley rose to fame as child actresses, Trent appeared in a number of their projects, including You’re Invited to Mary-Kate & Ashley’s Sleepover Party. Nowadays, Trent works as a writer for Storm King Productions and editor in chief for Rogue Matter.
In May 2026, Trent married wife Alexis.
Elizabeth Olsen
Elizabeth is the younger sister of Mary-Kate and Ashley. Much like her older sisters, Elizabeth pursued a career in the entertainment industry. While she did appear in some projects as a child, Elizabeth decided to become a professional actress after graduating from NYU.
The actress is best known for her role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Wanda Maximoff, aka The Scarlet Witch. Elizabeth has also appeared in Eternity, Love & Death and more.
Elizabeth married husband Robbie Arnett in 2019. In June 2026, multiple outlets reported that the couple are expecting their first baby.
Courtney Taylor Olsen
Courtney is Dave and McKenzie’s daughter, making her Mary-Kate and Ashley’s half-sister. Courtney is seemingly close to her siblings as she supported Elizabeth at the Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness premiere in 2022.
Courtney dabbled in acting as she starred in the 2024 short film Cheers.
In May 2025, Courtney revealed that she is engaged to a man whose name has not been publicly revealed.
Jake Olsen
Jake is the youngest of the Olsen siblings and Mary-Kate and Ashley’s half-brother. Much like Courtney, Jake is also close with his siblings.
“I love every chaotic moment I have when my family is all together,” he told Runway magazine in 2016. “It’s a lot more normal than you would think … We all support each other’s dreams.”
Jake has opted to work behind the camera. He previously served as assistant director on the 2022 music video for Lil Rot’s song “Make Up My Mind.”
Louis Eisner
Ashley and Louis tied the knot in 2022. The pair welcomed son Otto the following year.
