Two people have been injured and another man has been arrested, as police investigate two shootings about an hour apart in Sydney’s west on Sunday night.
A 29-year-old man was taken to hospital in a stable condition after he was allegedly shot on Northcott Road, Lalor Park, about 8.45pm on Sunday.
It is believed shots were allegedly fired from a home on the street, NSW Police said in a statement.
Specialist officers were called in to respond, leading to the arrest of a 46-year-old man in the same street about 3am.
He has not yet been charged.
Shortly after the first shooting, about 9.55pm, emergency services were called to Arundle Road, Bass Hill, where shots had been fired at a house.
A Holden Commodore was found burning on Rex Road, Georges Hall a short time later. Detectives believe it is linked to the nearby shooting.
A 25-year-old man presented at Liverpool Hospital with gunshot wounds to his leg, arm and chest about 10.10pm and was in a serious but stable condition after being treated.
Police have appealed for dashcam or CCTV footage as investigations into both incidents continue.
