Naomi Watts and husband Billy Crudup looked more loved-up than ever during a red carpet date night.

The couple, who have been married since 2023, stepped out at the Jay Kelly premiere during the Venice Film Festival on Thursday, August 28 and put on a tactile display.

Watts, 56, cozied up to Crudup, 57, for several of the photos snapped on the red carpet, while others showed the pair holding hands. In yet another image, Watts could be seen planting a sweet kiss on her husband’s cheek.

For the outing, Crudup looked dapper in a cream tuxedo accessorized with a black tie. For her part, Watts wore a stunning floor-length beige gown which was adorned with floral appliques.

Crudup plays Timothy in Jay Kelly, which features George Clooney as the leading man. Clooney was also at the premiere alongside his wife Amal Clooney, despite scaling back his attendance at several Venice Film Festival events due to illness.

Watts and Crudup were first romantically linked back in 2017, one year after the actress and Liev Schreiber called it quits after 11 years together. (The former couple share two sons: Sasha, 18, and Kai, 16.)

The couple worked together on Netflix’s Gypsy the year they were linked. In the TV series, Watts starred as a psychologist while Crudup played her onscreen husband.

In June 2023, Watts and Crudup tied the knot in a “special” courthouse ceremony.

“They wanted to keep it low-key and have this moment to themselves, and they pulled it off beautifully,” an insider exclusively told Us at the time.

The source added that the duo’s nuptials were “stress-free” and “spur of the moment.”

Later that year, Watts was reportedly candid about her and Crudup’s “pretty great” sex life at an event titled Unlocking Intimacy: Navigating Passion in Midlife.

“I personally think sex becomes more pleasurable when you take out the fear of making babies,” she said, per the Daily Mail in August 2023. “What is that expression? ‘Closed for business, open for pleasure.’”

Watts reportedly added that she’s “more confident” in her sex life and credited part of the reason being Crudup, who she described as an “100 percent empathetic” partner.

“Whatever it is you’re going through, if you can talk to your partner, if you can be honest and have a really authentic conversation and take away the awkwardness, and most of the time if they’re good people, they will be empathetic,” she said. “And that’s hot.”
