Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are exactly who you’d expect them to be — and a new behind-the-scenes video from their “New Heights” podcast episode proves it.
“Oh, my gosh, Jason!” Travis, 35, said in the clip posted on Wednesday, August 20. Jason, 37, followed up with some tongue twisters to get their mouths ready to talk for two hours.
Swift, 35, meanwhile opted for more traditional vocal warm-ups: more specifically, lip trills. (It’s giving Sharpay Evans from High School Musical — if you know, you know.)
“I’m really excited!” Travis could be heard yelling before Jason reeled everyone in to start the podcast.
“Here we go,” he said. “Here we go.”
In case you’ve been living under a rock, Swift appeared alongside her boyfriend, Travis, on the August 13 episode of the “New Heights” podcast.
“This podcast has done a lot for me,” the singer said during her appearance on the show. “This podcast got me a boyfriend ever since Travis decided to use it as his personal dating app two years ago.”
The couple reflected on Travis expressing his disappointment after not meeting Swift following her July 2023 Eras Tour date at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City.
“It was such a wild romantic gesture to just be like, ‘I want to date you!’ At first when I looked at it, I was like, ‘This dude didn’t get a meet-and-greet and he’s making it everyone’s problem,’” Swift recalled. “He didn’t even reach out to our management! When this podcast came out I was like, ‘Did he ever reach out to be in the tents or did we know he was in the building?’ He came with Patrick Mahomes and he thought that because he knows the elevator lady that he could just talk to her about getting [backstage]. That’s how it works in 1973.”
Swift quickly changed her tune after realizing how romantic the gesture really was.
“This was more like I was in an ’80s John Hughes movie and he was just standing outside of my window with a boombox just being like, ‘I want to date you! Do you want to date me!?’” she continued. “So I was like, ‘If this guy isn’t crazy, which is a big if, this is sort of what I’ve been writing songs about what I’ve been wanting to happen to me since I was a teenager.’”
Travis, for his part, called himself “the luckiest man in the world” while discussing their relationship.
