Around 1.5 million bottles of stain remover sold at stores, including Walmart and Target, have been recalled over fears they may contain a bacteria that can pose a serious health risk to customers.
Thrasio has recalled its Angry Orange Enzyme Stain Removers in Fresh Clean scent and Orange Twist scent sold in 24-ounce, 32-ounce and 1-gallon sizes, according to an alert from the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
The products may contain Pseudomonas aeruginosa, a bacteria found widely in soil and water which can cause a serious infection that may require medical treatment to people with weakened immune systems, external medical devices, or underlying lung conditions. The bacteria is able to enter the body through inhalation, cuts or breaks in the skin, and through the eyes.
Anyone who bought the products should stop using them immediately and contact Thrasio for a full refund.
