The Challenge alum Jenna Compono said her unborn baby has a Choroid Plexus Cyst on her brain.

Compono, 32, who is 22 weeks pregnant, shared an update via Instagram, accompanied by a photo of herself with her baby bump proudly on display.

She and her husband, fellow Challenge alum Zach Nichols, also share kids Anthony, 3, Liliana, 2, and Carmella, 13 months.

“March recap: Anthony is officially potty trained 😅 It’s true, it’ll happen when they are ready,” she wrote, adding, “I had my 20 week sono and they found a CPC seen in right ventricle of her brain (cyst). Genetic testing all came back low risk, the doctors mentioned it might fix itself but everything will be fine. Anyone experience this? 😳”

The choroid plexus is the part of the brain that bathes and protects a baby’s brain and spinal column. A cyst in that area occurs in approximately 1 to 2 percent of babies and forms when “a tiny bubble of fluid is pinched off as the choroid plexus forms,” according to UCSF Health. The cysts usually disappear on their own without any adverse consequences.

In a very small percentage of babies with CPCs, a disorder called trisomy 18 can happen, where the baby has an extra copy of chromosome 18. Babies with trisomy 18 (about 1 in 3,000) are often stillborn and survival beyond infancy is rare.

Compono first announced her pregnancy via Instagram in January.

“Because 3 kids wasn’t chaotic enough,” she wrote under a photo of her kids sitting below numbered balloons. A sonogram with a sign that read “coming soon” appeared under the fourth balloon. “Baby #4 coming August 2025.”

In February, the two showed a video from their sex-reveal, revealing they would be having a baby girl. The video showed the family of five standing outside their front door, holding a black balloon that said “girl or boy?” When Compono popped it, pink confetti flew over them.

The announcement came just weeks before Challenge fans began speculating that Compono and Nichols, 37, had broken up, sparked by the two appearing to unfollow each other on Instagram. Compono also shared a post via Facebook around the same time, titled “4 common signs of a narcissist,” only adding fuel to the rumors.

Ultimately, they turned out to just be rumors, Us Weekly confirmed.

“Jenna and Zach are excited about welcoming their 4th baby this year,” a source exclusively told Us on February 21, “and are very much still together.”
