Hello and welcome to our live coverage of Alan Jones’ criminal trial in the historic Downing Centre Local Court in Sydney. I will be keeping you informed of the latest developments with my colleagues Clare Sibthorpe and Harriet Alexander.
Jones, 85, is standing trial on 20 counts of indecent assault and two counts of sexual touching without consent spanning six male complainants and a 17-year period from 2003 to 2020.
This afternoon, the court will hear evidence from former 2GB heavyweight Ray Hadley.
Hadley is expected to tell the court about a conversation he had with complainant “C”, one of six men who has accused Jones of unwanted kissing and touching.
“C” is the second complainant to give evidence in the trial. He told the court that he “broke down sobbing” when he told Hadley about the alleged incidents, which are said to have taken place almost 20 years ago.
Jones denies any of the physical acts occurred.
