Stassi Schroeder was forced to tell husband Beau Clark about a rather awkward incident featuring his friend, and A Walk to Remember star, Shane West.
The actor’s name came up while Schroeder, 37, was playing a game of “F***, Marry, Kill” with best friend Taylor Strecker on Friday, September 26, during her live show at the “LadyGang” podcast’s LadyWorld festival in Miramar Beach, Florida.
Schroeder told the crowd that she was forced to tell her husband — who is real-life friends with West, 47 — about something that went down during her early days in Los Angeles.
According to Schroeder, she and a friend met West in their early 20s at a club when he invited everyone in the VIP area back to his house. Schroeder, a fan of West and New Orleans native, knew that the actor was a Louisiana State University football fan. While in his house, she apparently snuck into West’s room and rummaged through his dresser for an LSU sweatshirt. Schroeder and her friends snapped photos with the merch (for Facebook, she joked) before putting it back in the drawer and leaving his house.
After hearing the story, Clark, 45, went back and told West about his wife’s embarrassing moment.
Upon hearing the story at LadyWorld, the crowd went wild because, well, West is hot. Don’t say you wouldn’t have done it either.
Schroeder’s Friday night LadyWorld panel was the last before Arizona-based band The Maine took the stage. The weekend, put on by “LadyGang” podcast hosts Keltie Knight, Becca Tobin and Jac Vanek, was full of major names.
Rachel Lindsay and Justin Sylvester, Kaitlyn Bristowe and more notable podcasters took the stage throughout the weekend. There was also a performance by Chris Kirkpatrick‘s Pop 2000 tour, including Ryan Cabrera, LFO, BBMak and O-Town.
Surprisingly enough, Schroeder isn’t the only Vanderpump Rules alum that has crossed paths with West in Hollywood over the years.
Scheana Shay’s My Good Side memoir, which was published in July, included a list of celebrity flings the Bravo star had in her past — and West was on the list.
“I said to myself, okay Scheana, you’ve tried dating (or at least hanging out and hooking up with) all of these celebrities,” she wrote in the book, including Jesse Metcalfe, John Mayer, Shemar Moore, Jesse McCartney, JC Chasez and Adrian Grenier, among others, plus “two actors from The Notebook, and a few NFL, NBA, and MLB players.”
At the time, Shay was looking to “date someone who’s under the radar” instead of a notable name.
“I didn’t want any of the fanfare or complications that came with being linked to someone famous,” she wrote. “I wanted to be with someone who was grounded.”
Shay also discussed the list while speaking with Us Weekly exclusively, noting that it was “such a different time” in Hollywood when she was younger.
“I feel like if a 40-year-old Scheana was single and not a mom, I couldn’t get the guys I used to get,” she said. “I don’t know how I did it in my early 20s — people don’t believe me!”
