“We’ve got some of the best wrestlers in the world. I believe that AEW is truly where the best wrestle, and I’m so proud of how strong the AEW women’s division has been in 2025. I think that it’s time to introduce new championships into the division. This year, coming very soon for the first time ever, we will crown the inaugural AEW Women’s World Tag Team Champions.”
At the moment, it isn’t known how AEW will determine the inaugural tag team title. The promotion has been known to hold tournaments, and that could be the case for the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship.
