New details have continued to emerge following the death of Martha Nolan-O’Slatarra.
The Suffolk County Police Department confirmed the swimsuit designer’s identity on August 5, after a body was found on a boat at the Montauk Yacht Club just after midnight. She was 33 years old at the time of her death.
ABC News reported at the time that the East Hampton Town Police received a 911 call reporting that an unconscious body was found. Authorities told the outlet that some individuals on the scene attempted to revive Nolan-O’Slatarra by CPR. NBC News reported that she was pronounced dead by first responders.
Nolan-O’Slatarra, who launched a clothing and accessories company called East x East, sold her items at a pop-up shop at Gurney’s — which mourned her death in a statement to Vanity Fair.
“We are deeply saddened by the tragic news regarding Martha Nolan and extend our sincere condolences to her family and loved ones,” the statement read. “While Martha was not an employee of Gurney’s, we were proud to host her East x East pop-up and admired her entrepreneurial spirit and creative vision.”

The Irish Independent reported that Nolan-O’Slatarra moved to New York after she was born in the Irish town of Carlow. Irish outlet Sunday World reported that Nolan-O’Slatarra filed for divorce from husband Sam Ryan earlier this year.
Per the Irish Independent, Nolan-O’Slatarra was in a relationship with someone “who is understood not to have been on the boat with her” at the time of her death. The outlet reported that she messaged the mystery man earlier that night to tell him she would Uber home by 1 a.m. “She had told him she was meeting someone in connection with her business,” Sunday World reported.

We have no further comment at this time,” a Montauk Yacht Club spokesperson told the outlet at the time.
