What do you do when you beat your most hated rival in the biggest game of your life?
For Victor Wembanyama, who scored 41 points and grabbed 24 rebounds in a double overtime win over the Oklahoma City Thunder in the opening game of the Western Conference finals, the move was obvious: Pose.
After dunking on the heads of various Thunder players and then blocking their final attempts to win the first battle of what could be a classic seven-game series, the 7-foot-4 French titan walked to his team’s bench and put his hands to his hips like Superman as the rest of the team (literally) looked up to their franchise player.
It is a moment that has already gone viral on social media, with millions of eyes pouring over Wembanyama’s powerful statement against the defending champions.

While it’s only the first game, it’s more than that for the Spurs and the rest of the NBA, who have watched Oklahoma City publicly declare that they want to create the next great dynasty in the league.
Through the first two rounds of the playoffs, the Thunder were fair in their assessment, as they beat the Phoenix Suns and Los Angeles Lakers without dropping a single game.
Now, though, the Spurs have stolen home-court advantage, and Wembanyama, as usual, is at the center of it.
