A video that captures two cats claiming their owner’s coffee table as their new favorite spot for a nap has left viewers on TikTok in hysterics after going viral on the platform.
The short clip, shared to TikTok on December 20, captures the feline siblings resting peacefully within the coffee table’s geometric structure.
The bizarre sight, which brought amusement to thousands of viewers online, features both of the Persian mixbreeds laying within the coffee table’s upturned Perspex legs.
The moment played against a festive instrumental tune that heightened the zany, comedic mood, while an overlaid text on the video added: “Do you think they know this table wasn’t built just for them?”
“Won’t sleep in their bed, but will sleep in here all day,” the caption added.
The post, shared by the cats’ owner under @bowieandblu, has been viewed over 3 million times and liked by more than 543,000 TikTok users to date, leading to lighthearted comments from viewers.
Several poked fun at the video’s overlaid text, jokingly pointing out that they feel the coffee table was really best intended to serve the cats and not the owner’s hot drinks.
“That’s not a table, it’s a cat display case,” one viewer said, while another added: “Bold of you to assume it wasn’t.”
