A reckless Porsche driver was caught on camera pulling off a dangerous escape in Los Angeles County after the luxury car was hooked up to a tow truck Friday.

The driver of the Porsche, which appears to be a Panamera, slammed the gas and dragged the tow arm down the street in Glendale in a bid to stop the luxury car’s surrender.

Metal screeched as the sports car, which retail new for more than $100,000, ripped off its own rear bumper and shredded its suspension before finally tearing free and speeding away.

Netizens were quick to point that the car was probably being repossessed after the driver couldn’t pay for the auto loan, but the circumstances surrounding the towing remain unclear at the moment.

“If you can’t afford the car, let them take it. Why be a slave to those payments,” one user commented on the video.

But another user suggested the car may not have been repossessed maybe have just been parked illegally.

“How do you all know they are repossessing it ? Could have been parked illegally. These types park wherever they want.”

Others mocked the driver for trying to ”save $500” but ending up requiring a new bumper and other expensive repairs.

The motorist managed to avoid the tow lot, but left behind a trail of damage and is likely to face charges.
