Logan Paul and Austin Theory successfully defended their WWE Tag Team Championship at “Saturday Night’s Main Event” this past week, defeating The Street Profits.

The match served as the main event for Saturday’s card in Fort Wayne, Indiana, ran over 16 minutes, and finished with a pinfall after Paul knocked out Montez Ford with the brass knuckles, allowing Theory to cover him.

Part of the match saw Ford send Paul over the top rope, nearly resulting in a bad landing for the social media influencer and wrestling star.

Unfortunately, The Vision’s big win also had a disappointing aftermath when reports surfaced that Paul had suffered an injury during the match. However, the details weren’t initially clear about how severe it might be for one of WWE’s bright young superstars.

On Monday, a devastating update arrived that Paul suffered a torn triceps, which would keep him out of action for many months as he recovers from the injury. WWE commentator Michael Cole confirmed the injury during Monday’s episode of “Raw.”

Love him or hate him, this is certainly disappointing for Paul’s journey, after he quickly rose in the WWE and worked well in a heel role ever since joining the company in 2021.

In addition to confidence on the mic when cutting promos and drawing heat from fans, he’s also shown an ability to quickly learn in-ring techniques and perform high-level moves that many other young, aspiring wrestling stars seem to struggle with.

Before his tag team championship reign with Theory, Paul previously held the WWE United States Championship for a lengthy run of 273 days, and it seems like he has a major championship in his future.

Beyond the recent match with Street Profits, Paul and his tag team partner were feuding with newcomer Joe Hendry, who released a new song and music video titled “Fire Logan Paul.”

While there’s always a chance that could happen amid the injury recovery, Hendry likely won’t see Paul around for several months, at least for a potential feud in the ring. However, he could have to deal with Paul’s stablemates, The Vision.

Monday’s episode of “Raw” featured Theory attacking Hendry, likely establishing a feud between them for the time being. Along with that, WWE announced that Bron Breakker would take over as the other half of the WWE Tag Team Champions with his The Vision pal, Theory.

While this is a setback for Paul, he seems able to handle the adversity. If he doesn’t remain on WWE TV, he has plenty of outside endeavors and can focus on rehabilitation and recovery from his injury in the meantime.
