The 2025 NFL draft is nearly upon us, and the futures for the top prospects in the class are beginning to become more clear.

For the Giants, the list of needs is as long as any other team in the sport, and there are plenty of options at their fingertips with the No. 3 overall pick.

With that in mind, let’s take a look at their three best fits for Brian Daboll and the Giants in Round 1 later this month.

Travis Hunter, WR/DB, Colorado

The Giants need help at just about every position on both sides of the ball, so what better way to fill those needs than by going with the player who can play both sides of the ball, and who many believe to be the best overall player in the class.

Colorado wide receiver and corner Travis Hunter would give the Giants an elite playmaker in the passing game to pair with Malik Nabers and a lockdown cover corner when the occasion arises.

It should be noted that Hunter is likely to stick to receiver to begin his NFL journey, but no matter where they put him, Hunter would thrive in New York.

Abdul Carter, EDGE, Penn State

This might not be the most popular pick among the fan base, but in terms of drafting, it’s hard to imagine a better selection than Abdul Carter.

If there is one player who could challenge Hunter for the No. 1 spot in the class, it is Carter. And for the Giants, he checks every box. Not only is he a generational edge rusher, but he also comes in at a position of great need and could give New York one of the best pass-rushing tandems in today’s game.

Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado

The biggest need for the New York Giants is at the most important position on the field – quarterback.

With that in mind, it’s easy to see how Sanders would be a good fit in the Big Apple. His big personality fits the city, he would sell a ton of jerseys and merchandise and put fans in seats.

None of that even takes into account his fit on the field. He is an accurate passer and has a high upside at the position. Even with two veterans in the locker room, he could challenge for the starting job early.
