Mayor Eric Adams gave a thumbs-up as he returned Wednesday to Manhattan federal court — where prosecutors said he will likely face an expanded indictment accusing him of taking bribes and illegal campaign contributions.

“We think that is quite likely,” prosecutor Hagan Scotten told the judge when asked if the feds planned to file what’s known as a “superseding indictment” in the case.

The prosecutor said it’s “likely additional defendants will be charged,” and that it’s “possible” that the new indictment would include more charges against the mayor.

The bombshell development came soon after Hizzoner was heckled making his way into Manhattan federal court ahead of the 10:30 a.m. procedural hearing.

“Resign! The whole administration,” one man raged. “Criminal. You’re a criminal. You’re a sellout. Resign, sucker.”
