Alix Earle is giving fans an update on boyfriend Braxton Berrios after his season-ending injury.
The TikTok star, 23, shared that Berrios, 29, had recently undergone surgery after he tore his ACL during the Miami Dolphins vs. Indianapolis Colts game earlier this month.
“Here’s to a successful surgery & now onto recovery,” she wrote via a since-expired Instagram Story, which showed him being rolled out of surgery with a smile on his face. “And always with a smile on his face @braxtonberrios.”
Earle also shared a photo of her and Berrios holding hands in a separate Story.
Following the October 20 matchup against the Colts, the Dolphins wide receiver penned an emotional message about his injury via Instagram, in which he stated he was “heartbroken” over having to sit out the rest of the 2024-2025 season.
“Due to an injury yesterday my season is over, the road ahead is measured in months and not days, but I find comfort in knowing I’ve been here before,” he captioned a photo of himself on the field. “If you’re lucky like me, adversity has become a close friend. It means you’re chasing something not easily attainable and through all the failures and setbacks you’ve persevered. There’s pain along the way, but what’s on the other side makes it all worth it.”
He added, “Initially all I want to do is play victim and question everything, but I know God and I know he makes no mistakes. After the dust settles the choice each day is going to be pretty straightforward – have this be a part of my story or have it be the end of my story. Well like Kobe once said, ‘If you see me in a fight with a bear, pray for the bear.’”
Earle also showed her support for her boyfriend via an Instagram Story that same day.
“It’s crazy how things can change in a matter of seconds … especially seeing how much hard work you put into the game not only physically but mentally,” she wrote via her Instagram Story. “Day in and day out you inspire me and I have no doubt that you will be back and better in no time.”
She added, “Proud to be by your side and cheer you on. I love you.”
Earle has supported Berrios at several of his football games since the pair began dating last year. They made their red carpet debut at the 2023 ESPYs five months after they met at a Gatsby-themed party in Miami in February 2023.
In December that year, Berrios recalled how Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel encouraged him to settle down for good with Earle.
“Supposedly, [Mike] is very comfortable and confident about his game of getting his wife,” Berrios said during an episode of FanDuel TV’s Up & Adams Show With Kay Adams. “That absolutely has been portrayed to me, but there’s not much advice … Today, he told me, ‘Get married. Everything gets better,’ so I guess that is a little bit of advice, randomly, not even in context.”
