Apple introduced a spring-inspired refresh to its accessory lineup alongside new hardware on Tuesday. The company announced upgrades to its iPad lineup, including the Air and entry-level models. But, it also unveiled a burst of fresh, vibrant colors for accessories like Apple Watch bands and cases for the iPad and iPhone.

Apple told CNET that its silicone case options for the iPhone 16 now come in four new shades: peony (pink), periwinkle (blue), aquamarine (green) and tangerine (orange). The cases, which are MagSafe-compatible, are also available for the iPhone 16 Pro, iPhone 16 Pro Plus and iPhone 16 Pro Max.

Meanwhile, the $79 Smart Folio case for the iPad now comes in sky (blue), white, watermelon (pink-red) and lemonade (yellow).

New colors are also joining several Apple Watch collections. The Braided Solo Loop watch band ($99) now comes in peony and aquamarine, while the Solo Loop ($49) is available in periwinkle and northern lights (green). The $49 Sport Band lineup is getting a refresh with periwinkle and tangerine, while the Sport Loop ($49) now comes in sage (green).

Periwinkle blue is a new option for the Apple Watch series 10 sport band.

Jitesh Ubrani, a research manager at market research firm IDC, said the new accessories are part of a recurring effort from Apple to spark renewed interest in certain products months after purchases have been made.

“The spring lineup of colors coincides well with updates from the fashion industry and helps Apple position the watch as a fashion accessory in addition to a health and fitness device,” Ubrani told CNET. “The same can be said about the new phone cases. It’s tough to say if this moves the needle for Apple Watch sales but the marketing helps keep the brand fresh and bring them to the forefront.”
