A man was shot by police during an altercation at a property south of Brisbane on Friday night.
Police attended the Caswell Road property in Woodhill, 12km north of Beaudesert, for an unknown reason about 9pm.
The man, in his 40s, then allegedly confronted officers with a firearm.
“The man allegedly advanced on police, and he was subsequently shot by officers,” police said.
He was given first aid by officers before being flown in a stable condition to Princess Alexandra Hospital.
A crime scene has been declared, and the Ethical Standards Command will investigate the shooting.
