A high school assistant principal was arrested on prostitution charges for allegedly offering an underage student alcohol and lingerie in exchange for sex.
Zachary Neu, a 32-year-old administrator at Wylie East High School in north Texas, was busted on Tuesday after police learned of the alleged twisted messages with the student, who recently graduated, the Wylie Police Department said.
“The investigation revealed that during conversation, Neu offered to purchase alcohol for the minor and send money for lingerie in exchange for sexual conduct,” the department said in a statement.
Neu was immediately fired after his arrest, school officials confirmed.
“Educators hold positions of authority and are entrusted with tremendous responsibility,” Wylie Independent School District Superintendent Kim Spicer said in a letter to parents obtained by Wylie News
“As adults, they are expected to exercise sound judgment and understand that they are responsible for maintaining appropriate boundaries and relationships with students at all times,” she continued.
“Under no circumstances should a district employee engage in private communication with a student through personal social media or other unofficial channels.”
Neu was hired as a science teacher at the high school in August 2017.
He was promoted to dean of students in July 2024 and then assistant principal this January, the district said.
He was charged with compelling prostitution for someone under the age of 18.
