The news has broken that the “Jackass” crew is getting back together for a fifth movie in the long-standing franchise. After pseudo-franchise leader Johnny Knoxville shadow dropped the news that the crew will head back to the movies this summer, there was a big question on most people’s minds: Will Bam Margera return for the new chapter?

Margera was unceremoniously removed from “Jackass Forever,” following reports of him having to sign a “wellness agreement.” The result of the drama sparked a lawsuit and an out-of-court settlement, which appeared to be the final straw for both parties.

Despite tons of previous bad blood, “Jackass” alumni Steve-O and Knoxville constantly spoke out in support of Margera, with the former having him on his “Wild Ride” podcast. It appears that the issues Margera had with the crew have seemingly dissipated, and he will be back for this new film.

TMZ reported that Margera was in negotiations to appear in “Jackass 5,” and the latest update has indicated a deal has been struck. Per the report:

“The deal is sealed … TMZ has learned negotiations were successful — old and never-before-seen footage featuring Bam Margera has been cleared for the new flick. It’s still unclear, though, whether he’ll film new scenes or stunts for the new movie … stay tuned,” TMZ wrote.

TMZ indicated that old and never-before-seen footage featuring Margera will be used for the new movie. However, his appearance in the movie has not yet been confirmed.

No other members of the entire “Jackass” crew have spoken out about their involvement, apart from Steve-O, who indicated on social media that he was excited to get back to work on the franchise.

“Yesterday, ‘Jackass’ announced a new movie,” Steve-O wrote on Instagram.

TMZ also caught up with the star, who not only said he can’t wait to “swing for the fences,” but also indicated he would be overjoyed for Margera to be involved again.

Considering the initial report from TMZ, that appears to be the case for Margera. Whether or not he shoots new stunts for the movie remains to be seen.

Apart from Knoxville, Steve-O, and Margera, it is believed that Chris Pontius, Preston Lacy, Wee-Man, Danger Ehren, and the usual crew and members will be involved. “Jackass Forever” also introduced the world to new performers:  Zach Holmes, Sean “Poopies” McInerney, Jasper Dolphin, Eric Manaka, and Rachel Wolfson.

It has also not yet been established whether any of the new cast will be back for this fifth movie. Regardless, the new film will hit theaters on June 26, which is shocking considering there has not been a cast announcement or trailer, and the movie is a mere six months from being released.

That said, expect Knoxville and the crew to release any sort of teaser trailer or information in the coming weeks.
