The 2025 NFL Draft is officially in the books, and plenty of teams stole the headlines for their decisions over the weekend.
The Jacksonville Jaguars stole the show early by trading up for Travis Hunter, while the Browns got all of the fanfare late with their selection of Shedeur Sanders in Round 5.
There were also plenty of questionable decisions as well, with the Falcons going all on a pair of edge rushers and the Browns letting Hunter – the best player in the draft – slip their fingers.
Still, every team had their moments in the sun and their own questionable choices.
With all that in mind, let’s take a look at the best and worst picks for each team, with our focus here on the NFC West.
Arizona Cardinals
Best Pick: Jordan Burch, EDGE, Oregon
The Cardinals got a steal with Jordan Burch in the second round out of Oregon and he could come in and play immediately and make a difference. He’s gonna be a Day 1 starter and cause problems in the pass rush.
Worst Pick: Will Johnson, CB, Michigan
It’s not that Will Johnson is a bad player. Far from it. When he is healthy, he is capable of being a top-tier corner. The problem is, his health concerns are real, and that’s why he slid to the second round. It could work out, but its a major risk.
Los Angeles Rams
Best Pick: Terrence Ferguson, TE, Oregon
The Rams have a very good core with their offense after adding Davante Adams alongside Puka Nacua, and they also have a solid running game. But with Terrence Ferguson, they added a young tight end who can be a real difference-maker early on and give Matthew Stafford yet another weapon.
Worst Pick: Kotana Mumpfield, WR Pittsburgh
It’s hard to call a seventh-round pick a team’s worst decision, but it has more to do with the fact that they didn’t add another receiver when they needed to add a downfield threat. Again, no shade at Mumpfield, but they likely should have added a receiver earlier on in the draft.
San Francisco 49ers
Best Pick: Mykel Williams, EDGE, Georgia
The 49ers got arguably the best edge rusher in the draft not named Abdul Carter in Round 1 to put opposite arguably the best defensive end in football in Nick Bosa. They will hit a home run with this pick.
Worst Pick: Kurtis Rourke, QB, Indiana
Again, its hard to shade a seventh round pick. But if you’re looking for a backup QB, there were better players on the board than Kurtis Rourke. Quinn Ewers comes to mind as well as Kyle McCord in Round 6. The 49ers know what they are doing at the position, but it was just a questionable move.
Seattle Seahawks
Best Pick: Nick Emmanwori, S, South Carolina
Nick Emmanwori is a massive safety who can bring back the Legion of Boom mentality to an already talented secondary in Seattle. They got an absolute steal in Round 2 with a guy that could have been a first-rounder.
Worst Pick: Jalen Milroe, QB, Alabama
This pick was questionable for a variety of reasons. It is fine to assume that they wanted their quarterback of the future after Sam Darnold, but Milroe is the biggest project of any quarterback taken ahead of Round 6. Taking him in the third round was a bit of a reach.
