Jen Schmitt, daughter-in-law to current University of North Carolina football coach Bill Belichick, had some things to say about the legendary coach’s girlfriend … and it wasn’t too pretty.
Schmitt reportedly went off on Jordon Hudson, her father-in-law’s controversial 24-year-old girlfriend, on a nearly hour-long rant after a UNC football game on November 8, the New York Post reported on Friday November 21.
The rant included digs on Hudson’s fashion choices, her body and her relationship with Belichick, 73, a 49-year age gap.
The tirade reportedly occurred outside of Belichick’s office after the Tar Heels’ win over Stanford.
Schmitt, the wife of UNC defensive coordinator and Belichick’s son, Steve Belichick, reportedly screamed at the elder Belichick in front of his son and Hudson, among others.
Schmitt allegedly said all Hudson does “is control s**t” and called her “bats**t crazy.”
She reportedly continued by allegedly saying Hudson is “f**king twisting” Belichick’s brain before she told Belichick to “wake up” and gave him an ultimatum.
“You choose your family or you choose Hudson,” Schmitt reportedly said.
She allegedly said she didn’t care if her eruption resulted in Steve’s termination or Bill disowning her.
“He wants to fire you, fire you. He wants to f**king disown me, disown me. I don’t f**king care,” she reportedly said to her husband during the alleged 40-minute rant.
Schmitt then allegedly told Hudson, “You also need to eat a burger,” and chastised her for wearing snakeskin print at her boyfriend’s collegiate football games.
The blowup came after Schmitt and Hudson seemingly avoided each other during the November 8 UNC game against Stanford — the two watched the game in separate suites.
The notable non-encounter came six months after Schmitt commented on Belichick’s now-infamous CBS Sunday Morning interview from April, in which Hudson shut down a question from reporter Tony Dokoupil about how Hudson and Belichick met.
After the interview, Schmitt replied to comedian Nikki Glaser on Instagram, who wrote that Hudson was “acting as his publicist.”
“Publicists act in a professional manner and don’t ‘storm’ off-set delaying an interview,” Schmitt wrote in the comments.
One of Hudson’s family members told Us Weekly exclusively in September that Belichick was “not happy” with Schmitt’s comments, and viewed them as “fanning the flames” of the controversy.
Hudson responded via Instagram at the time, defending herself after the incident.
“I will not be cyber-bullied into submission,” Hudson wrote. “I will continue to stand for love, authenticity and permissibility of nonconformity. They can burn me at the stake, but they cannot burn out my light!”
Hudson and Belichick started dating in 2023 after his split with ex Linda Holliday.
The couple has been under heavy scrutiny since. Hudson defended her relationship via Instagram in February 2025 for Valentine’s Day.
“There is no objective criteria for what constitutes someone’s worthiness of love,” Hudson wrote. “We do not need to justify ‘why’ we love a particular person. Love does not discriminate against sex, skin color, religion, age, or ability.”
The Tar Heels, who currently sit with a 4-6 record, host Duke University on Saturday, November 22, in a massive rivalry game between the schools. It’s unclear if Hudson or Schmitt will be in attendance.
