Brandi Glanville’s two sons have rallied around her amid her mysterious health scare.
“They’re so fed up [and] they’re like, ‘You’re going to another doctor.’ They’re like, ‘This is ridiculous. I can’t believe no one’s figured this out yet,’” Glanville, 52, recently told Us Weekly exclusively while promoting her “Remedy” single. “They’re like, ‘It’s two years … this is crazy, Mom.’ I’m like, ‘Trust me. I’m going through it.’ But they’re going through it too because I’m not the best version of myself.”
Glanville, who shares sons Mason and Jake with ex-husband Eddie Cibrian, has been dealing with an unknown medical condition for nearly two years that caused facial disfigurement. Glanville also noticed a shift in her behavior and mood, which, in turn, affected her relationships with Mason, 21, and Jake, 18.
“I’m anxious, I don’t wanna leave and they wanna go out,” Glanville told Us. “I’m like, ‘Don’t you wanna stay home with me?’ ‘No, but you can come.’ I’m like, ‘Nope, not going.’ I miss living.”
She added, “I feel more overbearing because I feel like I don’t want them to leave my house. I want them to stay with me and I’m more needy with them because I don’t see very many people.”
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum has seen multiple doctors, spending “over $113,000” on visits and various treatments, but still has yet to receive a diagnosis. Despite the struggles of dealing with her unknown condition, Glanville has been able to rely on her sons for support.
“I just have the best boys on the planet. They hug me [and] they’re like, ‘You’re so beautiful on the inside. Don’t worry about it,’” she revealed to Us. “But then, they worry because they see how this affects me. [They ask], ‘How’d you sleep? How’s your day? How’s your neck?’”
According to Glanville, Mason recently checked in after seeing a new photo of her cheek.
“He was like, ‘Oh, my God. I thought the big lumps were gone,’” she explained. “Mason’s a little bit of a worrywart. So, he calls and checks on me, like, five times a day. It’s very sweet and Jake tries to tell me I look great. I am like, I know better, [but] I’m like, ‘Don’t lie to me.’”
She added, “They are the best. I mean, if I didn’t have them, I would be in a mental ward somewhere.”
Cibrian, to whom Glanville was married from 2001 to 2010, and his current wife, LeAnn Rimes, have also been supportive.
“I mean, LeAnn’s offered for me to use her medical devices,” she quipped. “It randomly never worked out that we could make that happen, [but] she offered.”
Glanville also recently started a Cellsound treatment to soothe her symptoms.
“It’s an ultrasound therapy, it pisses off whatever’s going on there and it gives me reprieve from the pressure, and it’s been very helpful,” Glanville told Us. “And then, I recently started with Dr. Joy Kong doing stem cell [treatment]. I did notice, like, right after, I had more energy, I feel better. I mean, it hasn’t helped the looks of anything as of yet, but I’ve only done it once.”
