Hulk Hogan didn’t meet his daughter Brooke’s twins amid their fractured relationship prior to his death.

Brooke’s husband, Steven Oleksy, told People in an interview published on Friday, August 1, that Hulk had “no interest” in meeting the couple’s five-month-old twins Oliver Andrew and Molly Genes.

Oleksy, 39, claimed he had reached out to Hulk, who died on July 24 at age 71 after suffering a heart attack, about a month-and-a-half after the twins’ birth.

“I sent text messages once again to kind of gauge where he was at, but there was no interest.”

Oleksy, who has been married to Brooke since 2022, added that at one point there was a plan for Hulk to visit the twins with Brooke’s brother Nick but that meeting never eventuated.

Hulk (real name Terry Gene Bollea) had been estranged from Brooke in the lead-up to his passing.

“Terry not speaking to Brooke is [a] much more recent thing,” an insider told Us in March, adding that Hulk “tells people he doesn’t specifically know why Brooke won’t speak to him.”

According to the source, Hulk’s messy 2007 split from Brooke’s mother, Linda Hogan, after more than two decades of marriage may have negatively impacted his relationship with his daughter. (Hulk went on to remarry Sky Daily in 2023.)

“A lot of damage was done during their divorce,” the insider told Us at the time.

Following Hulk’s death, Brooke shared details about the tension between herself and her father and admitted she needed to step back to protect herself.

“We never had a ‘big fight,’” Brooke shared via Instagram on July 29. “My father and I never ‘fought.’ It was a series of phone calls no one will ever hear, know or understand.”

Brooke explained that she and Oleksy relocated to Florida years ago to be closer to her dad as he was dealing with ongoing health issues but her dad began icing her out.

“All of a sudden he didn’t want me at surgeries,” Brooke recalled. “Everything started getting covered in a thick veil. It was like there was a force field around him that I couldn’t get through.”

She added, “During the last two years, I had to step away to protect my heart.”

Despite the complicated relationship they shared, Brooke added that she felt gratitude for the good memories with her dad.

“All I ever wanted from my father was love, honesty and a deep connection,” Brooke said. “And for a few special years, I had that — with memories that will last a lifetime. My world is forever changed. But I’m deeply blessed with a loving husband and two beautiful children who remind me every day of life’s greatest gifts.”
