Bunnie Xo‘s memoir featured unfiltered revelations about her marriage to Jelly Roll — from sex confessions to a timeline of when he cheated on her.
The content creator has been married to Jelly Roll since 2016. In her memoir, Stripped Down: Unfiltered and Unapologetic, Bunnie Xo, 46, broke down her first meeting with Jelly Roll, 41, and how it took a while for them to get together.
After their wedding, the duo hit a rough patch when he was unfaithful to her.
“It is not in this book for any other reason than to show y’all how hard we have worked to be together — and all the things we’ve overcome. Will some people judge me for staying? Sure. But I don’t give a f***,” she wrote. “It doesn’t mean I’m weak, and it doesn’t mean he is a horrible person. It means that we were two people who fell in love but didn’t know how to maintain love in healthy ways.”
She continued: “We were two strangers who rushed to the altar in 2016 and became parents of a traumatized 7-year-old in 2017. Fully sober in 2018. It’s enough to make anyone’s head spin. We both were still carrying lifetimes of trauma on our backs. Is it an excuse for his behavior? Absolutely not. But I do pride myself on being able to see both sides of the coin and put myself in another person’s shoes.”

Bunnie Xo Met Jelly Roll While Still With Her Abusive Ex
In 2015, Bunnie Xo was dating a man she referred to in her memoir as Karma when she met Jelly Roll at a concert. Bunnie noted that Jelly Roll “was not” her type, but she found herself intrigued by the musician.

“He’d call and I’d have one of my boy toys lying in bed naked next to me. I’d get up to take the call in the other room, and he’d ask me questions about his daughter,” she wrote about Jelly Roll, who got full custody of his daughter from a previous relationship. “He’d tell me about trying to be a better dad, and I loved hearing about it.”
Why Jelly Roll Stopped Bunnie Xo From Having Sex With Him
Early in their relationship, Jelly Roll initially refused to have sex with Bunnie. “I stripped naked and called J into my room. He walked in, hammered, took one look at me, and just about hit the floor. He was so shy! I sauntered over and sat him down and then got onto his lap. I kissed him and started to take off his clothes,” Bunnie Xo wrote. “And that man absolutely would not bang me.”

He was fine if it was just a one-time f***, but he didn’t want us to regret it in the morning,” she continued. “He didn’t want to ruin everything. Bunnie Xo Recalls Going on a ‘Whore Tour’ While Traveling With Jelly Roll
After they officially started dating, Jelly Roll invited Bunnie Xo on the road with him, and she agreed if she could continue to meet clients as part of her job as a sex worker. Bunnie Xo noted that “no one ever lasted longer than 10 to 15 minutes” and overnights — which cost at least $20,000 — were off limits.
Bunnie Xo Eloped With Jelly Roll — But Immediately Had Doubts After Their Wedding
The pair’s 2016 wedding involved a Las Vegas chapel, drugs and the couple listening to “Let’s Get Married” by Jagged Edge and “Gorilla” by Bruno Mars. Bunnie Xo noted that Jelly Roll “specifically asked me not to do blow before the wedding,” but she was still a “coked-up bride.”
The next morning, Bunnie Xo woke up “in a booze, Xanax, coke hangover” and had her first married fight with Jelly Roll after admitting she thought their wedding may have been a mistake.
How Bunnie Xo and Jelly Roll Rescued His Daughter From ‘House of Horrors’
Jelly Roll got custody of his daughter, Bailee, after visiting her home, where the then-7-year-old was taking care of two other children, had no room of her own, lived with a registered sex offender and didn’t see her biological mother for days on end.
Bailee was fully malnourished, which created issues when she had to get her tonsils removed and suffered from complications because her tissues wouldn’t clot.
Their 1st Breakup
After Bailee’s surgery, Bunnie Xo was overwhelmed by motherhood and chose to move out, writing, “I was so overwhelmed. I just couldn’t do this life of being a mom and a wife while fighting for a spot in the life of the man I loved against all the people who had an opinion about me and us — all on top of newfound sobriety. Today I know that to my core, I’ll never abandon my family. But that day, I did.”
Bunnie Xo Defends Jelly Roll’s Infidelity
The couple got back together and moved into a home in Las Vegas when Jelly Roll moved back to Nashville without telling Bunnie Xo. Despite the fact that he “was talking to his ex” behind Bunnie Xo’s back, she made the trip back to Nashville to try to save her marriage.
Bunnie Xo noted in her memoir that Jelly Roll was “used to having multiple relationships at the same time with different women.” They initially “both frowned upon monogamy.”
“That’s not to say that we agreed to go f*** whoever we wanted whenever we wanted — to me that’s what an open relationship is, and we aren’t in one. But if a girl wanted to come home with us, we more than likely wouldn’t turn her down,” she wrote. “Now, here comes the part that might surprise you. J has always told me that I can sleep with other men if I want to. … We argued about it many times until I finally just accepted the fact that that’s who he is. I’m not going to try to change him into something he’s not — and I started to agree with him. We both live by the motto that we aren’t each other’s possessions and consider our relationship to be free, not open. Free will. Which means: I’ll give you the world sexually, but don’t f***king lie to me or ever let me be the last to know something.”
Bunnie Xo Nearly Took Her Own Life Amid Jelly Roll’s Infidelity Drama
Bunnie Xo’s efforts to save her marriage had its fair share of ups and downs as Jelly Roll continued to have flings and exes he was still in contact with. At one point, Bunnie Xo recalled nearly taking her own life before changing her mind.
The duo were going to do a “three-month separation” before announcing their split but ultimately were able to come back together. She admitted in the memoir that “it would take years” for her to put the affair aside.
Bunnie Xo Clarifies the Timeline of Jelly Roll’s Son
“Before me, J was a player. He had multiple women who he was with for multiple years at the same time. One of them was an off-and-on again relationship that resulted in a son together. This woman gave birth to his son a week before we were married — and today, there seems to be a lot of confusion when it comes to J’s son, but honestly, it’s pretty simple,” she wrote in her memoir. “They were together before him and me — off and on for about 10 years to be exact. Their relationship was super toxic, but they decided to coparent their son as best they could. She was already eight or nine months pregnant when J and I decided to be together.”
She continued: “Although my relationship with this baby mama was rough in the beginning, today I absolutely adore her and the woman and mother she is. And I’m so thankful to have someone in our equation who knows J just as well as I do.”
Bunnie Xo and Jelly Roll’s Journey to Having Kids
Stripped Down detailed a past traumatic abortion that later led to Bunnie Xo experiencing multiple pregnancy losses. After suffering a miscarriage while married to Jelly Roll, Bunnie Xo once again experienced suicidal ideation that caused her to never “allow guns in our house” as a precaution.
Now, the pair have a surrogate, with Bunnie Xo writing, “Soon I’ll be starting my IVF stims. We have decided to use my own eggs with J’s sperm — and we are trying for twins. I’m so nervous, because I’ve waited this long to have kids with someone I knew would be a great father — and to be able to make sure they have the best life. … With how much IVF has advanced over the years, and with the help of the most unselfish woman willing to carry twins for us, we’ll be able to make our baby dreams come true.”
