The WNBA season is underway, and it clearly has Caitlin Clark’s full attention as she rebounds from a sophomore campaign that was plagued by injury, limiting her to just 13 games.
Through four games this season, she has looked as dominant as advertised, averaging 24.3 points, 9.0 assists, 5.0 rebounds, and 1.0 steal per game.
The Indiana Fever are 2-2 and will hit the road for their next two games against the Portland Fire and Golden State Valkyries before getting six days off. Clark already appears to have plans for at least one of those off days.
It was announced Tuesday that Clark will serve as the Grand Marshal for the 110th Indianapolis 500, set to take place on Sunday.
“Feelin’ 22 for the 110th #Indy500,” Indianapolis Motor Speedway posted. “Caitlin Clark will serve as the Grand Marshal for this year’s race!”

The grand marshal serves as a ceremonial host, delivering the iconic “Drivers, start your engines” command and waving the green flag to start the race.
Clark reacted to the honor, which comes in Indianapolis — where she has called home since being drafted No. 1 overall and has become one of the faces of Indiana sports.
“I’m looking forward to experiencing an iconic piece of what makes Indiana so special and being part of the time-honored tradition of ‘The Greatest Spectacle in Racing,’” Clark said.
Coverage begins at 10:00 a.m. ET for the race, with the drivers set to start their engines at approximately 12:38 p.m. ET — right around the time Clark will be front and center for fans tuning in.
