We’re only in minicamp, but it’s going to be a long summer if you play quarterback and are on the Cleveland Browns roster.

New head coach Todd Monken has made it extremely clear that no one has the job, regardless of what happened last year, and that while he wants to find his QB1 by the end of training camp, it will be a competition.

1. Deshaun Watson

Do I think Watson should be the Browns’ starting QB? No.

But everything that we’ve heard out of Cleveland points to the team being fully prepared to give Watson a chance to retake his old job after being out last year due to injury.

Watson is a husk of his former self, and even at his peak, he wasn’t a top-five signal-caller in football. Maybe the Browns just think he’s the best QB they have that can help them get Arch Manning next offseason?

2. Shedeur Sanders

Sanders ended last year as a starter, but I will not be surprised if he’s back on the bench for Week 1, holding a clipboard, waiting for his next turn to prove himself.

He did nothing last year to lock down a starter’s job, but there’s more potential with Sanders than whatever is left of Watson.

3. Taylen Green

Green is the best athlete in the QB room, and it’s not even close. From his 40-yard dash to his vertical jump, Green is someone you can throw out there, toss him a ball, and he’ll do something either ridiculously cool or terrifyingly horrendous. He might never be a true starting QB in the league, but what if he could be our next Taysom Hill?
