A CBS reporter was ecstatic when she found out Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce were engaged moments before she was set to go on air.
Fortunately, the network still caught the reaction from CBS’ White House correspondent Olivia Rinaldi, who exclaimed at one point, “I feel like Paul Revere right now.”
As of publication, the clip has been viewed more than 310,000 times on X and been reposted more than 1,300 times.

CBS caught Rinaldi’s reaction to news of the engagement moments before she was set to go on live on camera.
The clip began with Rinaldi’s jaw dropping while she looked at her phone.
“Taylor Swift is engaged,” she said, before excitedly waving her phone around in the air and looking up at the camera. “Taylor Swift is engaged!”
“Come back to me,” she said, apparently addressing a producer. “She just posted it! Oh, my god. Oh, my god.”
Rinaldi, who graduated from the University of Virginia in 2019, also gushed about Swift’s ring, which Newsweek confirmed is an old mine brilliant cut from New York-based jewelry designer Kindred Lubeck.
“Oh, it’s huge! The ring is ginormous!” Rinaldi said. The camera then cut to another clip of the White House correspondent beaming down at her phone while saying, “This is so exciting! Oh, my god. Oh, my god.”
“I feel like Paul Revere right now,” she added while laughing, in reference to the fact that she was breaking the news to those around her.
Moments later, when Rinaldi was on the air, she told the camera: “This is a very exciting moment for me in my professional career, because I get to announce that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are engaged.”
Rinaldi went on to say that she heard the news from her producer, who texted her while she was preparing to go on camera for her segment.
“So very exciting here that we get to break that and tell you about that,” Rinaldi said.

President Donald Trump reacted to Swift and Kelce’s engagement at the White House on Tuesday, telling a reporter: “Well, I wish them a lot of luck. I think he’s a great player, he’s a great guy. I think that she’s a terrific person, so I wish them a lot of luck.”
