Christina Haack has finally spoken out about her HGTV show not getting renewed amid mass cancellations at the network.

Haack, 42, shared photos via Instagram on Saturday, July 19, of herself spending time with her boyfriend, Christopher Larocca, and her kids while subtly poking fun at the situation.

“Summer so far,” she captioned the post. “Basically just eating and laughing. Canceled looks good on me …. Only kidding only kidding ❤️🤪.”

The slideshow included a glimpse of Haack’s kids with ex-husband Tarek El Moussa — Taylor, 14, and Brayden, 9 — and her son Hudson, 5, whom she shares with ex-husband Ant Anstead. In the comments section, Haack received an outpouring of love from HGTV viewers expressing their frustrations over the network’s recent cancellations.

HGTV originally made headlines in June for canceling five shows: Battle on the Beach, Farmhouse Fixer, Married to Real Estate, Bargain Block and Izzy Does It.

While the network hasn’t publicly addressed whether there will be more cuts, a source exclusively told Us Weekly this month that Tarek, 43, and Heather Rae El Moussa’s Flipping El Moussas is “not coming back” to HGTV. The same goes for Christina’s series Christina on the Coast, which has also “not been renewed.”

According to a second insider, the trio’s The Flip Off is meant to be “back for a second season, but there is no filming date or air date yet.” This comes as a surprise after The Flip Off, which premiered in January, delivered HGTV’s highest-rated freshman series among adults since 2022.

Tarek, Heather, 37, and Christina spoke to Us at the time about signing on to film the show after working together individually over the years. (Christina got her start on Flip or Flop with then-husband Tarek, whom she was married to from 2009 to 2018.)

“I’ve never shot with Heather, so I was like, ‘What’s that going to be like? Tarek and I have a playful banter; is she going to be jealous?’” Christina shared in a January cover story before Heather added, “It was like, ‘Are we going to get along? Are we going to work well together?’”

Tarek, who has been married to Heather since 2021, joked that his “main fear” was his current wife and ex teaming up “against” him on the home improvement show.

Property Brothers stars Drew and Jonathan Scott were also affected by HGTV’s programming shifts with a change to the launch of their new show, Chasing the West, which will now premiere on July 30. An updated press release also revealed that the second season of Don’t Hate Your House With the Property Brothers has been delayed from July 30 to “later this year.”

The newest season of their hit series Celebrity IOU is still airing as usual, but viewers are concerned as the network continues to make changes.
