A Connecticut man pummeled a pregnant woman and tried to steal her car in a Dunkin’ drive-thru Tuesday night — only to be thwarted by heroic employees, police said.

William Rodriguez, 28, allegedly rushed through the unsuspecting woman’s passenger door and demanded her keys after he parked in front of her vehicle in East Haven around 7:45 p.m., according to cops.

When she refused to hand over the keys, Rodriguez flew into a rage — punching her in the arm and chest, NBC Connecticut reported.

The woman, who is four months pregnant, managed to escape and desperately ran inside the fast food eatery on Foxon Road for help.

A pair of Dunkin’ good Samaritans headed outside and confronted Rodriguez while he struggled to maneuver the car, police said.

The duo yanked him out, wrestled him to the ground and restrained him until police arrived.

After allegedly tussling with responding cops, police finally arrested the maniac.

The unhinged suspect then chomped on a medic’s hand while receiving medical attention from EMTs for injuries sustained during the attempted carjacking, officials said.

Rodriguez — who has two warrants for his arrest from state police and several outstanding warrants totaling $475,000 — was hit with a slew of charges for Tuesday’s bizarre crime.

He was arraigned Wednesday on assault on a pregnant person, assault on emergency medical personnel, robbery, assault, reckless endangerment, larceny of a motor vehicle, interfering with an officer and breach of peace.

A judge held him on $500,000 bond, according to NBC Connecticut.

A mug shot released by cops shows an unkempt Rodriguez, of New Haven, with apparent bruises near his eyes.

Police also said the car he stormed out of prior to the carjacking was stolen from New Haven, the local outlet reported.
