The Dallas Cowboys spent five of their 2026 draft picks on defensive players — Ohio State safety Caleb Downs, UCF edge-rusher Malachi Lawrence, Michigan edge-rusher Jaishawn Barham, Florida cornerback Devin Moore, and Alabama edge-rusher LT Overton.

But it seems the team isn’t done overhauling that side of the ball.

According to NFL insider Jordan Schultz, Dallas is showing interest in a former first-round cornerback who spent the last five seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles and New York Giants — both division rivals.

“Sources: The #Cowboys are hosting veteran CB Adoree’ Jackson on a free agent visit today,” Schultz posted on X. “Jackson was with the Eagles last year, where he started 10 games — recording 55 tackles, 11 PBUs, and 1 INT. His DBs coach there was Christian Parker, who is now the Cowboys’ DC.”

During his nine-year career, Jackson hasn’t quite lived up to the hype he had as the 18th overall pick in 2017, but he’s had a solid career, nonetheless — totaling 459 tackles, 72 passes defended, six forced fumbles, five interceptions, and three fumble recoveries.

After parting with former All-Pro CB Trevon Diggs last season, the Cowboys have had a hole to fill in their secondary. Moore should compete for playing time as a rookie along with free-agent signings Cobie Durant and Derion Kendrick.

Where Jackson would help the Cowboys secondary is in coverage. He allowed a 64.4 completion percentage with 11 passes defended, six forced incompletions, and an interception.

The 11.7 yards per reception he allowed last year would’ve been second-best among Dallas’ CBs behind Reddy Steward, and his completion percentage allowed would’ve been the best among CBs to play 200 or more coverage snaps.

DaRon Bland is Dallas’ unquestioned CB1, but adding Jackson to the mix could shake things up with the 10 other cornerbacks on the Cowboys’ roster.
