A destructive vandal hurled a Lime scooter from a freeway overpass in Los Angeles early Tuesday, causing a chain-reaction crash below involving seven vehicles.

The incident occurred shortly after midnight, when the suspect launched the scooter from the Adams Boulevard overpass onto the northbound lanes of Interstate 110 in downtown LA, ABC 7 reported.

The plunging scooter forced multiple drivers to swerve and pull over, according to the California Highway Patrol. No immediate details regarding injuries were available as officials continued to investigate.

Drivers on the freeway at time couldn’t believe what went down.

Natalie, who was riding in one of the affected cars, said her car started “skidding, but then we realized something fell out of the car and a bunch of oil leaked out,” she said. “We looked at the road, and it was a scooter.”

Authorities confirmed that four vehicles were damaged in the incident, with footage from the scene showing part of the scooter lodged beneath one of the cars.

In a separate incident in South Los Angeles, another vehicle may have been struck by an unidentified object, leaving an SUV with a shattered front windshield. The exact cause of the damage remains unclear.
