Another major injury blow could be in the cards for the Dallas Cowboys.
As the team went through its Monday training camp session in Oxnard, California, their former first-round offensive tackle, Tyler Guyton, went down with an apparent lower-body injury and left practice early.
Hours later, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport suggested that Guyton is “feared to have torn his ACL heading into the MRI.” For the Cowboys, Guyton is the second player to deal with a major injury in the past 48 hours.

Ahead of Monday’s session, it was reported that the veteran offensive lineman Rob Jones had suffered a broken bone in his neck. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter and Todd Archer, Jones is now expected to miss between two-to-three months of action.
Jones, a 26-year-old offensive guard, is a former undrafted free agent out of Middle Tennessee. In 2021, Jones joined the Miami Dolphins at the beginning of his career. He spent several seasons playing for Miami before hitting the free agency market this past spring.
The Cowboys called on Jones to potentially win a starting position in Dallas. So far, Jones was on the right path to doing so, earning plenty of reps with the first team. Unfortunately, Jones hit the injured reserve as he’s now focused on rehabbing his neck.
Guyton is likely to join him. While the imaging hasn’t confirmed a torn ACL just yet, the initial reports certainly aren’t promising.
Dallas Cowboys Hit With Massive Injury News
“After having one of if not his best day of training camp yet, left tackle Tyler Guyton went down with an injury towards the end of practice,” Cowboys reporter Tommy Yarrish reported.
“After spending a bit of time on the ground, Guyton walked off the field on his own power accompanied by the team’s training staff. It was clearly something that affected the team as a whole, as some energy left the practice field after Guyton walked off.”
Guyton entered the NFL last season. He started his college career at TCU in 2020, before making his way to Oklahoma in 2022. Last season, Guyton entered the NFL Draft and became the Cowboys’ selection at 29th overall.
All seemed to be going well for Guyton ahead of his sophomore effort. Unfortunately, he could be spending the 2025 NFL season on the IR, which throws a major obstacle in front of the Cowboys.
