It’s nothing but love between former Disney Channel costars Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez.

Lovato, 33, was a guest on the Tuesday, September 16, episode of Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, where she was quizzed about Gomez’s recent praise for her during an August appearance on the “Therapuss” podcast. (Gomez said it was “good to see them all do their thing,” referring to Disney alums Lovato, Zendaya, Miley Cyrus and the Jonas Brothers.)

“I heard clips of what she said on the podcast,” Lovato told host Andy Cohen on Tuesday. “It was really, really sweet.”

“I couldn’t be happier for her,” the “Cool for the Summer” singer continued. “She’s engaged. I just wish her the best.”

Gomez, 33, announced her engagement to music producer Benny Blanco in December 2024, and the couple released a joint album, I Said I Love You First, all about their romance in March.

“I have listened to the album,” Lovato said. “Really, really great. I love the songs on it. ‘Bluest Flame’ was my song,” she added, referring to a track cowritten by Gomez, Blanco and Charli XCX.

Lovato and Gomez first costarred on Barney & Friends in 2001,before going on to appear in various Disney Channel projects. Gomez starred on Wizards of Waverly Place, while Lovato had her own show, Sonny With a Chance, and appeared in the Camp Rock movies with the Jonas Brothers.

The two stars eventually united for the Disney Channel movie Princess Protection Program, which premiered in 2009.

Over the years, Gomez and Lovato have both found success in acting and music and recently reached personal milestones. While Gomez is set to tie the knot with Blanco, 37, Lovato said “I do” to singer Jutes (real name Jordan Lutes) in May.

Lovato and Jutes, 34, married in an intimate ceremony in Santa Barbara, California, on May 25, with the “Confident” singer wearing a Vivienne Westwood gown for the nuptials.

“Santa Barbara is one of her favorite places, so the estate was fitting for her big day,” a source exclusively told Us Weekly, referring to the Bellosguardo Estate, where the couple married.

The source described Lovato as looking “radiant” and praised the “classic and timeless” ceremony.

“Demi described Jordan as her safe space and said he makes her feel more herself than she ever has, which had everyone tearing up,” the insider said. “You could just feel how at peace and happy she was.”
