This is a massive game for both teams as they look to take a 2-1 series lead and get a step closer to winning the series.

With it being the playoffs, much attention is paid to this game. On top of that, it is a Lakers game, so it will only be magnified. A ton will not only have their eyes on this game, but many will be placing huge bets on it.

One person who has placed a massive bet on this game is none other than Canadian rapper and one of the most prominent hip-hop artists in the world, Drake.

Aubrey Drake Graham, aka Drake, has placed a $620,000 bet. He placed the bet on the Timberwolves.

Drake shared the bet on his personal Instagram account.

If Drake wins the bet, he will win $1,023,000.00.

The Timberwolves enter this matchup as the betting favorites, with ESPN Bet listing them at -3.5 on the spread. The over/under has been set at 208.5 points, and Minnesota’s moneyline sits at -155, while the Lakers are listed at +135.

Drake, never one to shy away from high-stakes wagers, has made a habit of betting big across multiple sports. He recently hit on a UFC bet backing Alex Pereira over Jamahal Hill, but has also taken some notable losses, such as wagering on the Mavericks to beat the Celtics in the NBA Finals and on Canada to top Argentina in the Copa América 2024.

The Canadian rapper has money to spend, as his net worth is estimated to be around $300 million. This figure includes his music earnings, endorsements, and other business ventures.

The Lakers would love nothing more than to silence the Minnesota crowd and steal Game 3, giving them a 2-1 series edge in a matchup where they’re viewed as slight favorites. However, recent history hasn’t been kind to them at the Target Center—they’ve dropped seven of their last eight games there.

That said, the Lakers have thrived in Game 3 scenarios when the series is tied 1-1, winning each of the last 10 times they’ve faced that situation.

It will be an all-out battle in Game 3 and one that Drake will be tuned into.
