The Philadelphia Eagles are taking on the New York Giants in an important divisional matchup, and the team has already lost a key defender.

During the second quarter, it was announced on the telecast that Eagles cornerback Quinyon Mitchell suffered a hamstring injury. He was described as “sneaking off” to the blue medical tent. Following the update, it was also announced that Mitchell is questionable to return.

There was no footage on what occurred with Mitchell, but suffering a hamstring injury is never a good thing. This is a huge hit to the Eagles’ defense, which already struggles with passing. Heading into Week 6, Philadelphia’s defense is giving up 211.4 yards per game.

That is not the highest in the NFL, but it’s definitely not the lowest. The team is also facing a very competitive passing offense with Jaxson Dart and the Giants.

At the time of this writing, the Giants are leading the way. Off a touchdown from Cam Skattebo, New York leads with a 20-17 score. Dart has also thrown 127 yards. That number is sure to go up with Mitchell on the sideline.

The Eagles experienced their first loss in Week 5 against the Denver Broncos, which came down to a 21-17 final score. Now, they are looking to rebound against the rival Giants.
